12626 Hampton Court, 66 Avenue & 126 Street...the famous '81' of Canada :)"the home away from home for us Malaysians" :p I'm guessing apart from the house design, Shabi mama actually got the house because of the '2626'(Shabi)!! Well, here's a little insight about the house - there's a basement (which is currently being done up by shabi mama), the formal hall (i've only 'lepaked' in it about 3 times in the last 7 months), the family room & the kitchen (thats where the heart of the home is), the rooms, etc. Oh and not forgeting the deck! Looking forward to spending my summer lazing around on the deck with my timmy's Ice Capp :))
The memories i've had in this home has been unbelievable! The times i would come home to Jessy Mami's famous nasi lemak or Shaabi Mama's awesome chicken curry or Pal waiting to wrestle me down, almost breaking my arm or to sharan's gossips or Updesh's charlie horse punches has been amazing...i mean the punches and fights have been a real pain in the *** but stil real funny! Definitely something i'll sit and laugh to myself 50 years down the road :)Oh and then there were those times when i ahd to learn how to do laundry in this house (unlike Malaysia, i had to learn how to use their dryer) and how to work the garburator in the sink..lol i must say i'm pretty much an expert in those areas now (according to our cleaning specialist, Jessy Mami)kidding! Oh well, once again, having mastered all these 'not-so-hard' stuff, has made me an ACCIDENTAL CANADIAN!

An Accidental Canadian
Hola! So about 8 months ago, one of sharan's random calls to me ended up in her convincing me to fly down to her wonderful country, Canada. All sceptical at 1st at the thought of being away from my comfort zone for 3 months, but somehow sharan being sharan, worked her charm and convinced me that i would have an awesome time here....and boy, was she RIGHT! ;)
I still remember packing my bag with the 81 clan, and driving to the airport the following morning with mixed feelings in me...i was happy at the thought of finally being in Canada, but at d same time, i was pretty emotional about being away from some very special people. However, the minute i landed, Sharan, Pal and Updesh made me feel soo at home right away :) With a cup of French Vanilla, my drive from Richmond to Abbotsford was amazing! We then finally reached Randy's new gas station, Mt.Lehman ;) who would have thought at that time that mt.lehman was about to make its way into my daily routine..lol :p My daily routine of 'Good morning..and would that be regular gas..do have an air miles card...would you like our specials of the week, sir...have a nice day' :) Then, for the next 7 months, if i wasn't too busy at Shell, i was busy exploring Beautiful British Columbia!
Today, i've become so used to this routine/lifestyle that people refer to me as 'AN ACCIDENTAL CANADIAN' :)
